They are the same time not behind. It's the same pool some pc gamer keys will get in before vets and vice versa.

so as we suspected The closed early beta will be set playtest times of usage to maximize as many people on at one time as possible. that's kool nothing wrong with that at all.

I kinda wish they would have given everyone a free 3 days for PS1 however so everyone could jump on for the PS1 event not just former PS1 players.

I agree it would have been awesome if they had allowed new players to jump on board it only would have made the battles that much more epic!!!!!!

Just so you guys know, the free 30 days seem to be already active for some people, as it is active on my Station account and for some other people on french PS1 forums.

So, you should give it a try!

Can't wait to get back home and play the game again, it's been quite some time!

Hey guys, any chance that someone can tell me how to update my system specs on Station?

Im a PS1 vet, I got the email, but the link takes me to "Important PS2 Message" screen which only tells me that I've already signed up for beta.

It gives a link to my account details, but I cant for the life of me see where the "update system specs" link is. I need to do it too, coz Im on a completely different PC to when I signed up for beta.

If anyone knows please help me out!

All it should bring you to is a quick Survey that asks what CPU, Graphics Card, Memory and Operating System you use. All the answers are multiple choice so they're actually just asking for generics.

(A few quick examples of the answers available on the survey: CPU: Intel i5, Intel i7, AMD somethingnotshit.. GPU: nVidia 9000 series, nVidia 200 series, nVidia 400 Series.. etc..)

i think this is pretty weird as there is a HUGE difference between let's say the the 510 and the 590...

and also you have got really shitty i5 cpu's and badass gaming i5 cpu's liek the i5 sandy bridge processors(i5 2500k)
same goes for i7, and the amd fx series...

i don't really know what they are trying to accomplish with this, maybe it's just for driver/software testing for each card

this isnt a mod being made for a game out of someones bedroom for love of the game. these are professional game designers who are in the buisness to make money.

Im just as excited for PS2 as ahyone else, but that doesnt mean my heads in the sand with regards to comments like this.

I don't think working for free in the games industry (or other creative industries) is something to be held up as an ideal...

WOW.
All I can say is the 30 day free trial has made me that much more excited to play PS2. I remember playing PS1 and having problems with it, but I dealt with those problems because it was as close as I could get to the kind of game I wanted to play.
Now the problems I had (such as spending most of my game time getting to the action, and huge bottleneck battles in bases) have not aged well and are more glaring. I say bring on PS2!

After playing it for years, those bottlenecks are part of the authentic PS experience to them.

I am already subbed but my buddy BaneofMortality who lives with me got his account activated with the free game time so we jumped in last night and OMG was it INCREDIBLE. Seriously I could not believe the pops and the incredible battle on Ishunder last night.

If you are considering jumping in with your free time DO IT. The pops have already seen a crazy rise and if last night was any indication it feels like the glory days again. I have been playing lately and pops were pretty poor and it just felt like walking from base to base, quick fight, next base. But last night was seriously just like I remember it years ago when the game was at it's peak. SO FUN. so worth it.
