I've always had this idea for an RTS, you guys tell me what you think.
I got it in my head when I first heard one of you guys talk about Empire Earth, the expansion thing. It sounded so kickass, I decided to go get it. Little did I know that in this game, space was just the ocean... but it looked different. Total bullshit, that was. I've always wanted to see a game where you and your opponent start off with one planet each, and there's like 12 planets total on the map, then you start off by colonizing the nearby planets, then you use the planets to support your objectives. Like some planets could be mostly resource worlds, while others would be like Reach in Halo, entire worlds dedicated entirely to producing militaries. Then your opponent can send their guys to take your planets from you, so you need to have standing armies to defend your worlds. And vice versa, obviously. You can win with less planets, but the more you have, the more effective you'll be. Basically the same idea as Empire Earth: AoC attempted to use, but it doesn't suck ass.

The only Command and Conquer games i didn't like were "Tiberium Sun" (Although it could have been good if they worked longer on it) and "Renegade". The latest installment of generals was fantastic imho and that was produced by EA.

I never saw the fascination with Red Alert to be honest. Red Alert 2 was fun, but I still preferred Tiberian Sun. While the original Generals was at least balanced in multiplayer, it has an atrocious single player, the worst story known to man and an expansion pack which completely ruins multiplayer game balance in virtually every respect by introducing cheese tactics and nigh on unstoppable super units.
