Looking good so far, but with all of the TR focused screenshots I can't help but notice the lack of 'black' in their armor to really go with the red. I hope as you rank up your BR TR will become a lot more Black/Red focused and lose a lot of their grey like they do currently in PS1.

Funny people actually thought there was a possibility of this endin up on PS3. No way in hell these super outdated consoles could do it. Its not just the super old graphics chips these things use (nvidia 7800gt approx on the ps3) but also the lack of enough memory, video and standard memory both. And a host of other issues, just make it too much of a hassle for some aspects and impossible for others. Its one thing playin a crappy 12 player deathmatch on a teeny tiny map and playin with 1200 players in a gigantic world.

I'm getting the impression that part of their scheme will be based on their BR, and their class will have some additional influence as well, like medics will be predominately white to be easier to identify as allies... or key targets as enemies.
Side-note: I could swear the TR in this image were live-action photographed and shopped in if I didn't know what Planetside was. Another thing I should mentioned: in a prior image, the TR helmets are the same between the masked and unmasked version, there's just an added face plate over the helmet on the "rexo" armor, which may or may not simply be a customizable feature not necessarily tied to the armor's protective value. Now if only we could get proper views of the NC and VS armors, even though I think the VS armors are going to be skin-tight, crisis suit inspired armors. |

Definitely seems to me that you'll be able to tell what specialization a soldier is from a distance.
Which is great news...for sniper teams! "Got a field medic making his way to a MAX unit." "Where at?" "Two clicks to the left" "Shots away!" "Got him. Next T.O.O?"

I like the heavily detailed soldier models. It all looks... so real.
Also, if you thought this game even had a chance of hitting the PS3, such a simple and cheap console could not run a game half the scale of PS2. They tried it with MAG; a massive lagfest, and very barebones as they focused all of their resources into the "scale" instead of the gameplay. Only PCs can handle games such as this. Everyone's concerned that their PCs are going to suffer when BF3 comes out, I'm a lot more concerned about Planetside 2. Very high-poly models with extremely high res textures, combined with all the other post processing going on and anti-aliasing?
Combine that with possibly 50+ things on your screen at ones makes for a chug fest. |

I find all the conjecture over any picture we manage to get a look at humorous.
if you go back and look at the art and vids from PS at this stage ,nothing shown was ever in the game,we saw all these crazy looking buildings and other crap never put in the game. |

Look again. You can see the triangles on the models. You're overestimating the actual amount. They're just very well made and textured so it looks like a lot.
