Small emersive question: as in battle field 3 when the player jumps over a small wall or rock you can see his lower limbs move and come into view. You also see this when you move the camera straight down and you see your legs running.
I love this small addition which emerses you in the game. My question is will this be in planetside 2?

Everyone is fine with a cash shop and think it's a great way for SOE to make money and to continue supporting the game, but what are your standards on items that take the feel out of the game, For example will we see people running around with ridiculous over sized Santa hats and animal print weapon and armor camo?

How much sound and effects transfer though walls or other "hard" geometry?
For example, what will will a tank shell impacting the side of a tower cause for a player inside and near enough to the impact? A muffled "wump"? dust falling from the ceiling? wall tremors? etc Last edited by Kail; 2012-04-02 at 07:12 PM. |

What niche does the lodestar fill in Planetside 2?
or How lift/drag-efficient will the standard "glide wings" for light assault be? IE: Can I drop off a Galaxy at high altitude and fly stealthily into a base? OR What's the flight ceiling in the game?

If PS2 goes into beta with driver-gunned vehicles, and the gameplay feedback on that feature is sufficiently negative, is switching to requiring dedicated drivers (and/or increasing the crew count of a vehicle) on the table at a beta stage? What kind of metrics or situational testing would you be watching and performing to decide whether driver-gunned vehicles were balanced?
Will the day/night cycle be synchronized for all continents on a server, and if not, how staggered will they be -- i.e., will it be possible to fight only at night, or only in the daylight, by changing your location? Will something similar to the Audio Amplifer return in PS2? |

Certification Trees: It seems that classes have a progression of certs they can unlock, but some aren't class specific. Can you give us an idea on how many non class specific cert trees there will be, and are there different "paths" (like Melee Cloaker or Sniper/AA Aircraft or AV Aircraft)?

I recently came back to PS1 and was disappointed at the inclusion of BR 40, that allows one player to do everything and really takes away from specialized roles in a squad.
So my question is , with the new system of acquiring cert points through using the Vehicle or gun that you like. Will one person who plays the game long enough be able to eventually unlock everything, or is there a cap to the number of cert points a player can acquire so that he has to fill a specific role? |
