I will admit that it certainly looks like a Pulsar variant.

But why would they add the lash effect to the Pulsar?

That may just be the way that the "muzzle flash" looks on it, since it is an energy weapon after all. I doubt that effect is on the shots themselves or lashes anything in it's path.

My VS alt is so getting this! I love how VS weapon fire looks at night (tracers) and during the day you get too see how awesome they look

I think the VS are experimenting a little too much. These 'weapons' belong in a rave, not a battlefield.

It's looking pretty cool. I like it.

It looks alot like a Pulsar, but the projectile(?) Looks kind of like the Mealstroms primary fire from Planetside 1. Which, i think, suits the name "Lasher" perfectly.

Im gonna go with that being the lasher.

(I think the oldschool iron sights on the alien weapon look goofy and out of place, by the way.)

I was going to suggest that it's a pulsar variant that utilizes the Maelstrom's lightning effect.

It appears to be shooting lightning after all, not bolts of energy. It also appears to be much heavier then a Pulsar, but it looks a great deal like said Pulsar, heavy pulsar variant using a close quarters secondary mode possibly?

your all wrong that is the lancer! its charging up like one and i dont see and shots in front of it that would show the rapid fire of a pulser or lasher.
