Now now, MCY isn't just a bunch of Scat MAX users. There's C4 as well!
How do I know? I spent the evening in Allatum. Of memorable note was the LA who got about two dozen kills in one go. That'll teach us to lockdown. |

Splitting into squad channels etc on VOIP ruins the community feel in my experience. Much as Baptist and Thunderhawk have said the 2-3 squad is really the limit before you start to lose effectiveness and the feeling of your community. The issue with having many commanders is that too many chefs spoil the broth and slow you down. Speed is important on miller you gotta move fast before the TR drop their 70%+ pop on you and set about self congratulations in /yell that you initial see and think they are just trolling before you then realise they seriously believe that zerging with a 70%+ pop is an achievement to be applauded........ man the boredom that these TR must feel was illustrated last night in a /yell from some TR "I got one guys i actually got one :-)" competing with 8 other TR for that 1 kill must suck especially when 3-4-5-6 of them die trying. |

As part of an outfit that in the past 2 weeks has had around 200 new recruits, and I kid you not, I agree with many things I read here and disagree with others.
- Is there a feeling of strangers with people in the outfit? No. Not at all. It feels like we were together all our life. Some newbies are more timid then others but all in all I don't notice the "stranger" feel you all seem to imagine you get. - From being a usually airborne infantry outfit we now have all sorts of divisions. Now we always had the divisions but we could never fill them so we all usually were in the same squad (Usually 2 squads, more was rare). Now with the extra 200 members we can have armor and air squads up on some continent while the infantry is on another and with 3-5 guys playing casually with harrassers and with several solo players all at once. Now the question is...is this a good thing? Older members who always liked tanks can now actually tank. But there is more segregation. Due to our outfit policies we can't enforce 1 game style as well. So it depends on your personal opinion. -We now also have many more squad leaders. While a plus, many of these squad leaders are new and not as good as older ones such as Hadouken, Chauma and me. But only way to get better is by leading I suppose. -I personally run daily bootcamps now. Every single day I spend 30 minutes fighting with the new recruits convincing them and helping them set up TS and showing them the basics of the outfit. It sucks but it's my job I suppose. -A lot more idiots in the outfit who don't apply on our website, always go solo or go in pubbie platoons etc. But all these people will be kicked in our outfit clean up which is every 2 weeks. - Are we less skilled/tactical? Depends who's in the squad and who's leading it. I'm not going to go into more detail. But I think we're doing nice considering how many noobs we have currently. -Was it worth it? Yes. Our community was "dying" before this recruitment boom. More and more members got burnt out and we never got new members to make up for our losses. The new recruits along side the morale boosts thanks to all our victories the past week (We won alot more then we loss) led to even old members rejoing our ranks and while we have many problems, it's worth it.

I really enjoy Miller as a server for my Outfit, NC on Miller has a very close relationship for the most part, all the Outfits communicate well and in some cases even break down language barriers to facilitate more co-operation, this closeness has really started to develop more as the game gets older and I really look forward to the future.
The size of NC Outfits isn’t a problem for me, I only worry about my own and let others do the same for theirs, running an Outfit any Outfit takes a lot of work, A LOT, it’s stressful and sometimes frustrating as all hell, but it also has it’s rewards, being that this is a hard Job, the bigger an Outfit is the Harder it is to manage, this sounds like common sense, and it is, but that’s not to say it’s impossible to run a large Outfit organised, it’s Harder! It’s not impossible. Consortium at the minute has three squads for Op’s sometimes four, I like this size, and I’d burn out if it was any bigger, and as someone else said, you really need good squad leaders and officers, once you have that bedrock everything else becomes much easier. |

Different rules for different schools, we generally don't let our members use Outfit channel unless it's to get them onto TS, everyone has to be on TS, then the PL is the only one who needs to use a global voice, we don't really use ingame voice at all.

You need to be more pro active man ...
TVA was circle jerking ,taking warpgate videos and pre patting themselves on the back at like 2 pm . It took them till 5pm to get some footage where 2 or more TVA vehicles weren't crashing in to each other . |
