Ok, first of all: HOLY SHIT BETA SIGN UP!!!

Now that this is done, I have to say the new website looks awesome !

The previous one was cool too, but too much "amateur-ish" in some way.
Now it looks like a real AAA game's website, just lacking the content, but it'll come in time.
So we finally have something concrete to show to our friends

My fucking station account wouldn't log in, perhaps I forgot the password.

So I changed it.

It still says invalid user/password.
SOE needs to get their login shit together.

EDIT: Ok Chrome works.

But now it won't let me change my email address from my ten-year old AOL account. Whatever.

My bet is on March for testing, if it's actually in January or February someone needs to give these developers a friendly slap on the back and a long vacation, they cranked this sucker out fast

I thought I was having the same problem, but then I thought to check my e-mail (the new one) even thought it doesn't prompt you to go click on a verification link. Did you try that?

I am just hoping the chinese players are not granted access to this beta, but instead there is one specifically for them. This is launching in China as well is it not?

I can't imagine this game could possibly do well without localized servers. Given how much we've seen in the past of the different interviews we've read about SOE talking to different distributors in China, I'm guessing it won't be just them selling DVDs with the game on it, but they'll have an Asian locale server also.

That said, I would also think that the beta would be primarily oriented towards North America/Western Europe - Internet is most reliable, and as of yet, the least censored here, and it seems to me Most of SOE developers are English speakers, and if the deadlines during beta are going to be tough enough to prepare the game for release in May/June, the developers can't afford to get lost in translations. Every bug report, every comment needs to be read, evaluated, troubleshooted, and resolved ASAP, and that can't be done if the testers and the coders speak different languages (they have to translate from English to code as it is).

Also, I anticipate the actual Beta server getting fired up around late February/early March.

still one little concern about the info texts:

i couldn´t find any hint, that this is not the 0815 standard pve shit!
please update the gameinfo and mention, that in this game there is no mobgrinding and everything that moves is a real player! that´s a major key argument very few mmos can put on their flag!

Good news that there is a beta signup, but unfortunately the beta itself wont come anytime soon. It takes many months for the beta to proceed after the actual signup date.

Pretty sad how people are willing to resub just to get into beta.
Paying to get into beta = fail

It'd be pretty hilarious if SOE decides to pick the PS1 players who have only have subbed for many months now, and not the ones who have hopped on.
