I like the implications this has on the metagame. I do however want to know how they plan to address the rich-get-richer problem this could introduce (and the converse, the poor-get-poorer). That's another question I had up there. |

But yeah, the biggest standing problem is the rich getting richer thingie.

I think the rich getting richer will balance against the fact that defending their own territory gets harder and harder the more they own. Making it so that capturing territories of a faction that has more territory than everyone else will be quicker than capturing territories of factions with fewer territories would essentially make it impossible to sustain a larger number of territories for any length of time.
If the balance is right on this, it should make the fight do the balancing, as opposed to the resources. They might be the tougher, harder faction due to higher resources, but they still can't defend everything at once with ever quicker capture times. |

Then I guess people can also had squad leader as infil, just sneak past everyone, go to the furthermost hex on the map and start capping And I dont think that these cases will end up that common or the rich getting richer will be a major problem, but it CAN happen that a faction simply ends up losing too much territory to fight back properly and then loses the rest of it. It can be really shitty place to get back from after a while.

Right I think the problem could be addressed best with making holding large amounts of territory difficult. I've had a few posts on that in the past, but the gist of it is that its easier for other empires to capture your territory the more of it you have.
That doesn't result in resource handouts but rather essentially means it might take you less resources to capture it, or make more behind-the-lines stuff practical. |

By the way, this page is the best way to track his info:

This doesn't make any sense:
http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comment...dustry/c43uhhi All the implants are passive? All of them? Was hoping for some that used the shield energy, but that kind of crushed that idea.
