Thanks MrkWalmsley, I do read links I post. In the context of your original statement, you would understand that 616 and 666 are accepted variants of each other, 666 is socially accepted and more popular in the U.S.--therefor more catchy. Additionally pig already said that had nothing to do with it, I'm only rebutting the statement regarding the number and not the name, since I wasn't around in PS1.
