Boobs get in the way of my arm movement when I'm trying to swing my gun and they add extra weight. Besides, If I can't be in 3rd person to look at them whats the point. I'll stare at everybody else while they look at my ugly ass.

Staring at females avatar ass while taking fire from a liberator and platoon of soldiers is beyond moronic . I hope this thread was an attempt at satire and people actually don't do this, if you really have a need to polish the lance porn is a click away.

You play a character for immersion, What kind if Neanderthal would play a game just to stare at a digital ass? Your focus should be the actual game, the objectives at hand what can you do to help win the day not " man she got a nice ass".

Well in DCUO I play a scantily clad, flying, archer, mage woman. You tell me you want to be staring at the ass of the hulk all day? Even if you are gay it's probably nicer to look at!

I just prefer the hot archer chick.

I never stare at my character, male or female, when I play games, I usually focus on the game, which usually happens elsewhere than on the backside of my character.

When someone play games, they aren't staring at the ass they are playing the game. The only guys I know that play female avatars are the ones that are sexually insecured and wish they were women. Not saying your homosexual, I have female friends who play male avatars for kicks, but investing time and many years in one particular game (example planetside) and playing the opposite sex is peculiar, in my opinion. I really wouldn't want someone one in my team that couldn't get his eyes off some digital ass when he is suppose to be supporting my team and staying focus.

^This.

As a guy, I always play a guy. My toon is rarely the center of my attention anyways considering I'm usually busy you know, playing the game.

I guess it's the same people who just stare at the dashboard or optionally only the rear of the car driving in front of you while they should focus a lot more on the overall situational awereness

Is it just me, or do guys who seem the most averse to playing as a lady remind anyone else of closet homosexuals' hatred of homosexuality?

It's okay guys, you can play a female without turning into a girly girl. Honest.

Actually its the opposite, If you were secured you would play a male character.
And the fact you are getting defensive proves my point, although I am curious where this "hatred of homosexuality was mention before?

On the other hand, many people who play female toons site "not wanting to look at a man's rear end"; as if because they play a male toon it must mean you have to look at his ass. To me that sounds much more insecure than not wanting to play a female toon.

I play a male toon because I am a guy; I just do not get the appeal of playing a female toon. It really is that simple, and I'm quite secure in my masculinity.

In all honesty, I highly doubt either side could be used to determine who is a closet homosexual.

Is English not your first language?

Defensive about what? And what point? You didn't really make a point.

Again, I suspect this is due to a language barrier. I didn't say it'd been mentioned, I asked if it reminded anyone of it.

Oh, I knew this would happen. I didn't say everyone who prefers playing a male toon is a closet homosexual in denial, I said those who are most averse remind me of it. I don't think you qualify for that, do you?

You definitely definitely don't qualify.
