I'm br20 and I've never had more than 150 grief, even though I've spent most of my career as a Pounder. I think this is because I have 1.5gb RAM and broadband. I think people with < 512mb RAM or 56k are much more likely to get grief because they are less likely to be seeing real-time images of the battlefield. I really think this game requires a minimum of 512mb RAM and broadband, but that's just my opinion.

I'm on a 56k and I don't think I've ever cracked 100 grief, and I've spent tons of time as a Pounder. The connection has absolutely nothing to do with grief as any damage done by me must be done on my screen (therefore eliminating lag as an excuse). Broadband would certainly help me to stay alive in a lot more situations, but lack of broadband doesn't equal grief.

The most greif you can get from firing a single shot, IE blowing up an enemy AMS with friendlies near it, crashing a vehicle, etc etc is 10 pending no previous greif within a certain time period (I do not know what this period is, or how much greif must have been accumliated previously for it to give more than 10). The problem with vehicles is that you will sometimes end up side by side with another, and they tap each other lightly, doing almost no damage, but causing massive greif.
Madcow - Correct, greif is shared on both east coast and then seperately on both west coast servers. Veteran - It doesn't matter what you see. If you see a guy out in the open, and he sees himself next to a tree, you still damage him as if he really were out in the open still, hence the vehicle problem. You would have to be lagging extremely bad for it to make it any more difficult (IE players warping around the screen [I don't even know if that can happen in PS or not]).
