I log on when I've run out of things to do on the internet.

I sit and watch for a minute, decide whether they're talking FPS's or if they're shooting the shit - then I leave if they're talking about games, and stay if they're being stupid ... and then, I just say things like, 'No, YOU'RE stupid' or ask about so-and-so's new puppy.

EDIT: And totally boost Dhark's self-esteem because screw you guys, I think he's gold.

I don't join PSU IRC allot but here's what I do:
log on
start a dumb discussion
slap anyone who disagrees
let my scripts defend me from counter-attack
tell a n00b that he should register his nick by doing /nick serv register password email
steal n00b's name when his nick becomes "serv"
wait a few mins and give name back
spam some more
post an old not-so-funny link
log off.
