Never said having a women as the head would mean it's going o be all light touches and no back bone.

Thatcher may of been the Iron Lady and had thrown some harsh kicks in regards of the Unions and taxation, but she showed the world that the size of your countries land mass doesn't matter if you got the skills in millitary and diplomatic means in ******.

But to stay on the Topic, Britain doesn't havea "Victoria Day" i guess we just take it for granted, or the govenment were just tight bast*rds and wouldn't give us another day off. grrr

You my friend are an ass... and you should not even attempt to anylize history... You do know the only reason we won was becuase of the French right (this was when France had the good military)... BOTH times. (Revolution: we had French Military and Naval Assistance, War of 1812: immense pressure was on Britain at the time from many european natinons that recognized American soverignty,) So you my sir are a damned fool, if we had tried to revolt without French assistance we would've failed miserably. And the prospect of a black or female president is very real...

EDIT: It should also be noted that we won the revolution by using hit and run attacks soemthing that was seen as very dishonorable...
