The idea of allowing more certs for post BR20, then giving them high cert cost addons to weapons is very appealing. If you want a reaver that barrel rolls, add it on with a 4 point cert. Yeah, I can see this working well. Would definitley eliminate the "walking swiss army knives" (good one BTW) and still give lower BR's a chance at these abilities (at a very hefty cost). I would gladly drop more certs for abilities like Instant Implant Activation for adv meds (don't even know thats in consideration). Just thinking about the possibilities is exciting. Of course, something like this makes too much sense, and I just know the devs are going to screw it up anyway.

Actually, that post makes much more sense than the way I first read your previous posts KIAsan and it's not a bad idea, not a fan of it but I can see how it'd work. But I'm wondering if you're assuming that only BR20s can get merit commendations and their reward?

Not sure how they intend to implement this merit idea. Even if it's open to all, it's still a bad idea (lower BRs just aren't going to have the time to gain the merit reward). Whether you draw the line at BR20 or at some lower BR, there is going to be a line you must reach in order to have enough time in game to actually earn a merit. Thus, those over the line will have the special abilities, those under the line won't. Still end up with two classes (haves and have nots). At some point in the future, once a bunch of current vets get their special abilities, it will become increasingly difficult for a new player to join them. Not to mention the increased difficulty of gaining additional BR.

Veterans should be given incentives for expertise and loyalty to a particular set of certs. The Merit Commendation system accomplishes this while not leaving the newbie at a disadvantage they cannot remedy.

I like that. Especially since i have decide to stick to magrider driving, because it's the first time in this game that i have been getting lots of kills vs no deaths! Coupled with lots of shared xp form gunner.
it a lot.

Why not? Half the point is that you get them through playing what you enjoy most. Yeah BR20s will probably try to collect them all, but for the average player it'll just be a reward for doing what they do best.

I just jumped into this thread so don't mind my opinion. But from KIA's post and Lart's post, I agree with Lart.

But a very nice dream, that is only going happen when Beckham leaves that tart Victoria and comes after me.

Which is never.

The MA Commendations should only be available to BR20. Gives someone a reason to get BR 20 other than....."HEY LOOK AT ME IM A BR 20, see it says so in my signature so that means I know what im doing!!"
