Good luck and drive safely. Not to be a smart ass but Andrew was the strongest hurricane in the last century with 177-200mph sustained winds in parts of it, Frances and Charley are the once a century event of two powerful hurricanes hitting florida in the smae season. I know too damn much about the weather.

UPDATE
Martyr and I packed up all our valuables, and everything we could fit into my car, including a very disgruntled Isis. We moved everything we left behind, away from the windows and covered everything in plastic tarp. We took everything off our walls and emptied our fridge and shut off our circuit breakers. Then we left our apartment at 10pm. I was crying my eyes out, it was like saying goodbye to a friend who's dying. We arrived in Charlotte, North Carolina at 5 this morning. John's mom and sister were awake, getting ready for their day, so we got Isis out of the car and she made herself comfortable in John's house. At 6am, John and I passed completely out (in separate beds ). 12pm, we're awake, and our friend Peter has just arrived from Florida. I'm still in my jammies. The storm still looks like a massive force to be reckoned with. I worry for all who weren't as lucky as John and myself... But, we're here, and we're okay. We have internet and everything, so we're going to get some planning done for Bravo! Thanks again for the incredible support, and those in Florida, get the hell out!!
