We just test-drove the Prius.

A M A Z I N G.

The interior is hella leet. Has a touch-screen in the center console that displays where the power is coming from and where it's going, the interior and exterior temperature, the audio information, et cetera. Has a continuously-variable transmission, so taking it up to 60mph doesn't feel jumpy - it feels, as I described it while driving, 'creamy'. Handles amazingly. I loved it.

Waiting list = 18 months. The dealership is getting a silver base model in next week that we can snatch up if we wanted to. The discussion continues.....

Misc Info

Trig, as much 1337-enviro-friendly-ness that is possible with a hybrid, it's less fun to drive wihtout the whole shifting thing, and you'd have to get the base model and thats not any fun, go for the mini.

EDIT:

Oh yeah i have not a car, but desire one greatly, relay anything with working stereo(radio, doesn't have to be CD), AC, heat, in decent condition, so it won't fall apart on me, would be fine. I just want to drive to work and school without beeing dependant on my parents dropping me off, or both of them of them having to be home and not in need of either car.

I mean my dad works from home and my mom doesn't do anything, why do we need too cars sitting in the driveway most of the day? arg.

Just hope that trany doesn't go on you. From what my brother-in-law (who owns a trany shop) said, it's better to buy a new car than rebuild/replace that trany if it's out of warranty. Most shops most likely won't even attempt to work on it and tell you to take it to the dealer which will charge you an arm and a leg like they always do cause they are a dealership. So get/keep a good warranty.
