lot of good points here..... so let me have mine
Pulling out of NATO is not the answer since only three nations are the problem. You kick those three out and move along. I 100% that France, Germany, and Belgium (WTF is Belgium) are being asses about this whole and deserve punitive action from the alliance (it is always good to police yourself). That being said.... Those have said "It is not about if we will defend Turkey.... it is about the timing". Now though I still think they are stupid and wrong for not unconditionally helping an ally I believe the French will hop on the bandwagon in the last hour to say "Look have what we done! We are powerful and influenced the American Policy". Thats exactly how I feel. This is Germany, France, and Russia who have sour grapes b/c they are really 2-bit nobody countries. Russia has said itself in recent weeks " It wants a Bi-polar world. Not one run by the United States". Sound like a bunch of whinos to me. Iraq is a problem... yes. But I think that we need switch fronts here. Let the Inspectors have more time ONLY because I feel the bigger threat is N. Korea and that mad man is out of is mind and must be delt with by the UN security council. Might as well not try sanctions b/c he already he would count that as a declaration of war. So just roll the troops in.
In dealing with N.Korea we re-unite the world on what they view is a common problem. If N.Korea can hit the West Coast they can damn near hit all of Europe. So if the world unites under a common banner to fight N.Korea... tensions will simmer down guess what? Iraq and it's weapons will still be there. I'm done.....................for now
