Uh, no. We do a Christmas morning sort / Truck run but we do not deliver. The trucks are loaded and waiting for the 26th. 25 - 26th the trailers still run but sorts dont happen.

Yeah, we work 365 24/7 too.

Monitoring people's alarm systems isn't really a thing you can take a break from.

Could you imagine a day where we don't monitor any of our banks?

Actually on Friday we had a massive crash for all of about 15 minutes... though I'm pretty sure it only effected the servers that handle scheduling and service calls, probably not monitoring.

Thats why we have 7 different centers for monitoring, and the building I work in has 6 backup generators and armored telephone line conduit buried deep underground that leads directly to a telephone company switchboard.

The irony is, the Department of Defense-rated building we work in is almost all big glass windows. So much for actually protecting the staff.

Maybe its bullet-proof or something, I haven't asked. I'm guessing not...

Back to the topic of snow and the Northeast though, all windows mean that we can look out at all the pretty snow burying us. So comforting.

This weather blows, this last week ruined my friday.

Every slope was covered in ice, It was fucking impossible to ski on.

Mmmm Florida is so nice right now....we had some great sun the other day....little to none humidity either.

Winter was pretty warm as well. We had perfect sunshine on Christmas!
