PS2's sun looks a lot better, no hard lines radiating from it.

Yeah, to some point BF3 has cool effects, but they are so overdone to it.

Lasers are neat and everything, but.... what's it *for*? We have crosshairs and HUDs and things. We don't need lasers to aim. It's simple eye candy, and does nothing but alert the enemy that they've got a gun pointed at them.

What practical purpose does it serve? Are there laser-guided weapons?

It's for firing from the hip. Though I'm worried that it will change the dynamics of how the gun fires so that its CoF will no longer bloom and every round follows the red dot.

The phoenix is laser guided though.

But while I'm in love with PS2's visual( <333), I don't hate BF3's visual or engine. Yeah many people I know of also don't like DICE's art style(overdone lighting work&GFX maybe?) like you guys do, but IMO BF3's graphic looks good. Don't get me wrong, though. I'm just trying to say that BF3 doesn't look gay.
