Nice gun. I prefer NBBs myself as I find blowback wastes a lot of gas... it depends on the gun though. I have a USP .45 NBB from Umarex. I really like the look and feel of it.
Also have a G36 that I've rarely used: And I never posted that paintjob I did of my UTG MK96... it's really shitty but it was my first try

Yeah Gbbs are gas guzzlers . Is that the co2 usp? Haven't heard much about it how does it perform ? Idk why but I never been a fan of the g36 maybe because of their mags.Bit I believe they use a v2 gearbox. Also nice paint job I want to color the top half of my usp a silver whitish color.

The largest indoor US airsoft arena is about an hour north of me. Have 3 weapons, CA m249, CA G36c, and TM DE. All are shooting around 300 but the m249 has an upgraded motor and might as well be a hose for its rate of fire. The DE is a joy to shoot as it's a blow back and the recoil just feels right. My favorite though is my knife. It cost me less than a bag of biodegradable rounds and gives me an excuse to charge headlong into fire. My favorite story about it involves me throwing out my shoulder to tag a guy in the ankle for the kill.
Oh and I have a nerf RPG that they let me use sometimes as well. That's fun. |

Unfortunately there aren't any airsoft fields in my area, the closest one is a three-four hour drive from here up to Bellingham. There's some indoors airsoft arena in Tacoma (Tacoma Tactical it's called) it's sort of big, but there's only about 15 people per match and the FPS limit is 330. Weak. I prefer woods games where I can use my sniper/ghillie. I really enjoy the role.

Same. I dislike paintball because it's more expensive, the guns are more bulky, and you need much more gear if you don't want to bleed everywhere.
Airsoft BBs are so cheap... you can get 10,000 for $10 bucks, or 5,000 .2's for $15. 2000 paintballs go for around $50. The guns look much nicer and are cheaper compared to the paintball variants... there is also more variety in the guns.

I played airsoft quite a bit at uni with the society and it was great, but then I moved away for a job and pretty much gave up after a couple of tries; it's all good fun when you're with a group of others but I find it really dull when I'm there on my own and don't know anyone.
That and I'm now too fat to fit into camos. |

Another reason why I avoid airsoft like the plague... PX Rangers. The whole "mil-sim" thing draws out the worst kind of pukes. It does to a lesser extent with paintball, but far less because a lot of paintballers try to distance themselves from the military aspect with their jerseys and markers.
With airsoft, though... it seems to be a big trend. My sister and her boyfriend played in a big scenario-type league out in California. My sister is a Marine, and her man-toy was a Cali state trooper. I flew out to visit her and they took me to a game. Turns out the captain of their team was some bad-ass Army Ranger. So he says. After about ten seconds of listening to him talk, I pegged him as a fraud but I kept my mouth shut because I wasn't there to do anything but hang out with my sister. But this dude really started getting under my skin and I kinda whispered to my sis that the guy was full of shit. She went after him, he mouthed off, and that's about the time that I started challenging him. What was his class number, his roster number, who were his RIs, that sort of thing. Guy kinda muttered some BS about it being top secret. Big red flag. I called him on that, too. Told him I had a TS/SCI clearance, did my time in Battalion, and that I knew his top secret answer was garbage. I stood toe to toe with him and asked him to recite the Ranger creed. He couldn't do that, either. I ripped off his Ranger tab and his Ranger scroll, which he'd decided to put on both sleeves claiming that he was "in the Mog" and had done "wet works" in Afghanistan. Nobody uses that word except REMFs and maybe Marines, think it may be part of their jargon. The whole time I shouted the Ranger creed to him. Guy rage-quit the field. About two months later, guy ended up on the Wall of Shame. That's not the first time I've heard about that with airsoft. There was some other guy pretending to be a Marine officer out in Cali. I think he ended up getting the shit beat out of him by actual Marines. Over here in the DC area we had some guy claiming he was Army Special Forces. This guy was actually more than a little mentally disabled, so I think they just stopped telling him where the games were. I wanna say his particular issue was because he was semi-retarded. |
