Planetside event tonight promo for PS2

just watched most of the recording.

morto, you´ve come a long way! looks nice what you pulled off there!

i guess with some optimisation on the streamers and the things you already mentioned, this will really turn out a worthy fun thing!
and with the promised dataoutput on planetside 2, you could be able to use an independent map so you don´t have to ask the streamers to put up their maps all the time.

you know what would be the best marketing tool ever for planetside 2?
if the devs would build an invincible and invisible flying camera and would give one to a player of each faction for just the time of such events! like a special class that can do nothing else but recording and observing the event. restricted to specially entitled players for the special time of the events. i don´t think this would eat up too much of developement time because no art is needed at all. only the classbutton.
the ui could be deactivated, or even get some special data outputs just for broadcasting, like playercounts on the continent or some other popups of things that are happening around right now.

Feedback on Morto/Syn's eWar.

Just thoughts out loud:

• Try setting your mic input to max.
• For lagless streaming, the video needs delay and game's decreased resolution. Alternatively, use some external device for streaming (laptop/videocap device/etc).
• Commentaries need some soft music on the background, like this. You know the approx of the event know, so figuring out a good tracklist will not be much of a problem.
• I think it's in dev's power to give you invulnerable wraiths, ask if it's possible, and if it is, use this to your streaming advantage.

I've done this in some of our earlier test streams with a cloaked Phantasm. Goes a long way. At times someone would spot me and try to gun me, but most of the time I got to film in peace when you knew how to move and how not to move

I believe Morto uses XSplit, and if he was giving a crash course to both of the streamers, I bet they used the same Fraps itself can't stream.

The footage I got from my Mossy was very very epic and I intend to edit it and put it up on the NC channel. =) The amount of firing coming from that island at you guys was like I have never seen so many shots being fired from one location in any game before lol.

Also the air view of that civil war type battle, whoa... that was AWESOME to watch in the mossy.

Do you mean, capturing it on your desktop and sending it to your laptop to be streamed from? How would you go about doing that?
