New Forum Icons - Page 3

The index page still shows icons that are very similar. Determining which individual board has new posts is still an issue.

However, nce I enter the forum I just look for the bold text to indicate which threads have new/unread replies.

The new ones are basically the same, but bigger, so I'm not sure why they'd be harder to tell apart.

My mistake. I wasn't even aware that changed based on posts (I use the "last post" column to see if there's anything new).

I'll make the "read" icon more distinguishable.

Edit: This might be a good point to mention that not all buttons or icons are done yet.

Save as, rename it to "forum_old.gif" and throw it in the statusicon folder.

Edit: Though, thinking about it...Maybe you don't even need a forum_old icon. Can you just leave the space blank?

I posted, and thought "what if that still isn't differentiated enough for Firefly?", and then I realized the starkest difference would be having nothing at all...

I'm not THAT hard to please. I can see the difference in the ones that are there now, but it's still difficult to tell unless I look at it for a second. The background behind the PSU logo is what differentiates between it, but the eye focusses on the PSU logo, which doesn't really change much (if it does, it seems grey to white).

A suggestion would be something stark (not like the zero-image), like red to white.

Yea the logo does not change colors at all. It was even harder to tell them apart at first I made some changes just after we released.
