I have a habit of checking the bottom list a lot for active developers. It's how I notice other people are active a lot. Anyway I nominated you.

Someone probably already nominated you, I noticed you mentioned earlier anyway.

And I doubt this is a democratic process. Just the mods seeing what the community thinks and then picking their own choice. Democracy on topics like this is a terrible terrible idea.
