so for you non german speakers i will tell you what the twitter conversation on the OP is about

the guy from pro7sat1 states that they are playing the ps2 beta already. and he adds that they had to stock up on anti passout medication (don´t know what riechsalz is called in english, its stuff you put under the nose of a passed out for a second to wake him) to wake up the guys who just couldn´t stand the awesomeness of this game and collapsed. and he added that this was no joke

so either the pro7sat1 guys are the most evil teasers and trolls on earth or someone outside of soe is already playing the game. maybe it was just a short test session to check latency for players abroad, but it´s a major step.

It would make sense for them to be playing it, considering they will be hosting Europe's servers. Hopefully that means our turn will come soon.

Could you imagine the hype a live "beta invite going out" event would do?

I've been through so many betas that at this point that I'm perfectly happy to wait. It's going to be fun trying to test things with everyone trying to murder me, but I'm in this for the long haul.

I mean, come on, it's not like the world is ending this year or anything...

It would make sense, at least to me, to have a very closed beta before a more public one. I'm sure SOE will want to get a head start on bugs associated with having many players online, before the mad rush that will be the official beta start.

This is a big step. Because usually the whole beta phase starts when the game is feature complete. So now on to the bugs! And soon the closed beta!

That would be really awesome, and it might really happen. I am sure beta wont really "start" during E3 though... too many possibilities to fuck up. IF you fuck up, you dont want to the whole world to watch. So my bet is that Invites might go out, but beta starts definitely after E3,1 or 2 weeks if we are lucky.
