Personally, I liked Cyssor. I hope it's eventual return is amazing.
Searhus too. I like what we've seen, don't get me wrong...but there's gotta be areas that aren't quite so vertical. Steppes and plains and stuff. Seahus and Cyssor would offer a good mix.

Yeah I may be wrong but the way I see it is, how hard would it be to take a Planetside map and upgrade it to PS2. I'm sure that the easiest thing to do on a Planetside map is to introduce more capture points and divide the map into hexes. The question seems to me to be whether thats's in the plans of the dev team or not. Whether that is because it has already been decided that new continents is the way to go be it for legal reasons or any other that I would see but not because of technical reasons.

I got that feeling in March when I last resubbed. The game world was so empty, but it just echoed with the sounds of battles past. Even on an empty map, with Don's music playing, it was great just to stand and catch the memories of battles lost and won that were blowing on the wind.

I was never a big fan of Ceryshen, although I never hated it either. It's probably just because I never had a ton of fun there, since there were never as many battles there, thus never as many awesome memories. Of course, I tended to stay in the air a lot of the time, so the crazy geography rarely affected me one way or the other.
But come on, the Ceryshen bridge battle. Who doesn't have some fond memories of that shit? I so want Ceryshen to return for that reason alone. We've already seen that awesome bridge on Indar, but I would hope that they would custom build an even bigger, even more epic and badass bridge to be the mother of all bridges on Ceryshen V2.0. I think that with the Forgelight engine, the custom tailored environments, and the hex territory system, they could do a lot to make something similar to Ceryshen be a lot more popular in PS2. |

One thing Planetside didn't have was small foot hills where only soldiers/stupid farming mossies could get to. I'd like to see some hills and such where only infantry could get to and battle for, none of these jaggedy messed up land formations from PS1. Small paths branching off into the brush, trees blocking the view of air, rock formations to climb around and get cover from incoming fire, that would be some good fighting.

Cery had the most dynamic and unpredictable fights of any continent. You could literally call each and every move each and every empire would make on Cyssor before the continent was even opened. Yet, people still flocked too it like little BEP Lemmings. |
