I prefer simple additions, those that don't make the game seem like a big Halloween office party with guns. Things like lore friendly armor and weapon appearance, useful camouflage patterns, and temporary experience boosts.

I'm not a big fan of all the fancy stuff like the horns, heart logos, smiley faces, or anything akin to silly hats that everyone else seems to want. I think the horns look kind of ridiculous to be quite honest. The furthest I'd go is the zebra or cheetah camouflage. They are a little goofy, but at the least they aren't completely over the top.

Once you pass the absurd silliness threshold (things like multicolored dapper top hats, nyan cat scythe trails, and superman capes) the additions cease to be enjoyable and become terribly ridiculous/annoying.

On the other hand, things like sunglasses, goggles, headsets, berets, maybe some headbands or do-rags, and perhaps a fat cigar would be interesting for providing some unique appearances.

The cigar would definitely have to have a CR5 or max level requirement though, obviously.

Couldn't agree more, i find most games these days tend to have too many unnecessary spikes/glitter/feathers/lights/wings on every item.

I like some of those kinds of details, if used in moderation. But today's tendency to use those in excess just makes them look silly.

For example, i suggested the 40k ork style cow-catcher for the sunderer because of the "ouch" visual effect when you run people over, but i find that if everything had spikes on it the awesomeness would be considerably lessened.

I totally agree with the stuff you suggested btw, particularly the "badass sarge" cigar.

Kind of annoyed that every single weapon you can unlock through gameplay can also be instantly bought..
