Indeed i still feel like, Cyssor, Hossin and solsar are still my home territory just now they got enemy perma gates on them boo VS and TR give me back my home conts!

Sanctuary's would be awesome. I always loved a central HQ for each of the factions. Just a place you can go practice and run drills without being interrupted.

I don't care about sanctuaries. I rarely spent any time on them except for the need to go there to take a HART or recert.

Also I find it boring that there's a place where you cannot shoot and no other empire can land on. I would like to actually defend our home continent or assault another...

They'd only be too much if the buildings were hollow. If they were closed off, they'd act more like steep cliff sides, and the roof tops plateaus. Cars and buses would be boulders.

A city/urban environment is very possible, but because they ARE buildings, people will expect different things, such as wanting to enter every single building, or even leveling them. Unfortunately, not only is this the rendering nightmare people are concerned with, it's a LOT of ground space for foot mobiles to spread out over considering all of those floors, and that actually can hurt the flow of a larger battle. It's an absurd quality standard to expect, as cool as it could be. No FPS game has exactly bothered with fully fleshed out city buildings and for good reason. You'll only ever find them in minecraft.

Bases may seem a little out of place unless they're slapped on top of rubble or in a park, and outposts seem less out of place if they were things like grocery stores and gas stations. Something common SOE could design and dot the map with.

Also, now that we've gotten a good look at the warpgates, if you really want an idea of what a Vanu installation might look like, you need only think "forerunner."

City themed continents but slightly smaller than the main ones for each faction sounds pretty awesome.

Was expecting another qq thread...but this actually sounds pretty damn cool, not to mention, possible.

I just want sanctuaries, but this would do since the devs seem so adamant against adding them. Instead of having a warpgate, the home empire could have a larger safe-zone.

I rather have a contestable home continent....


Perhaps it should only be invaded under special circumstances....when is not invaded it can act like a sanctuary...but I doubt the devs will like that since it will be a waste of continent since it can't be always fought on...but who knows.

The VS con't could have Vanu ruins or artifatcs, to reflect on the VS obsession with the Vanu and there technology. Name it Ceryshen

The TR con't could be like where the centeral government for the planet used to be before the VS and NC broke away so lots of big buildings. Name it Forseral

The NC con't could be a waistland and have some kind of hidden base with hidden deffences (think rebel base in Star Wars). Name it Solsar
