Don't hold your breath for any announcement. They don't even know if beta is going to start Monday or Tuesday or some other day next week. There is no way they will be able to announce a launch date then. In fact, I'd bet we just get a "Coming Soon" which we will all giggle about.

I went back last night and watched my all time favorite game trailer, SWTOR - Deceived, and that was about 4 minutes. If this trailer is about that long, I'll be thrilled. If it is 2 mins., I'll probably be a bit disappointed.

I think I'm not the only one here who is absolutely not interested in CGI trailers. Honestly, WoW and SW-TOR trailers were amazing, but how does it relate to the real game ? It's just a commercial, and it is not targeted to us. Putting countdown on the site and advertising on twitter and facebook is preaching to the choir. It is just necessary for the videogame websites to relay it, and for the average gamer unaware to what Planetside 2 is to be tempted.

Well they woudnt release a full trailer during some random time in summer (when people are on vacation). I think it has to be tied in with beta. Why do a full trailer months before beta or an important date?

Cinematic trailers for FPSs typically make me cringe they're so cheesy. I liked the cinematics for WoW because that whole fantasy setting is based on being epic and is pretty self-aware. Seeing soldiers, even ones in the future, doing super badass, ridiculous stuff is just...meh. Feels too much like a cheesy action movie.

Maybe if it was more realistic gameplay it wouldnt be so bad.... hanging over the cockpit of a liberator while your blasting through the windshield at the pilots.... cmon...the color scheme is nothing like that of planetside either.

I guess ive grown to hate CGI trailers for games over the past several years... especially with how good games look now days anyways.

Dont get me wrong. Its a bad ass CGI trailer and looks like it would fit nicely in a TV slot, but its just wrong.

Men ur sick this trailer hasnt to be like some actual footage.... this trailer is made to make michael bay movies look boring.

Will this trailer only be viewable on youtube, or has SOE planned several different sites where you can watch it? Not that it affects me anyway, but I'm wondering since I've heard a claim that people in China can't watch youtube clips.
