well, if you had actually watch the PS2 trailer, you would have seen the comment written in big at the bottom right : "NOT ACTUAL GAMEPLAY". Not sure what you want more...

I would like to see an expanded universe, although I'm skeptical about it being as big as SW or Halo. If they would focus on the psychological aspect of a never ending war where not even death can provide an escape from this hell, it could get pretty good.

I am sure it needs a lot of marketing efford to make PS2 as big as these other games. Not sure if SOE can spend so much money.

There has been no downfall in halo. It's way more popular today than it was back when it came out. And how could reach have been better on PC? Story is somehow dictated by platform...? That doesn't even make any sense.

Also, yeah, no. Planetside won't dethrone Halo. I'll play it like crazy, but Halo will always be there.

I don't know if you can make an interesting novel in a world where people can't be killed. Maybe the books could take place before everyone could respawn like they did with the Horus heresy in Warhammer 40k.

support such an epic experience at all.

Maybe not the next Halo or Star Wars, but very possibly the next League of Legends, Team Fortress 2, or maybe even about as popular as Minecraft. Those are better examples because (for the most part) they're PC exclusives.
