via Smed: PlanetSide 2 will be on Steam

I have been playing a ton of CS:GO beta since I'm not in the PS2 one yet, and might not be for a while -- but there are many of us playing that and waiting for Planetside. I hope I get a bunch of friends from CS:GO to check it out.

The most important thing to me is the fact that people will get that little popup - "damijin is playing Planetside 2", or you'll see your friends little tags pop up. It's fantastic for the long life of an F2P game, because people get bored, dont play for a few months, then one day you're on steam and you see your buddy is playing Planetside 2, and you're like "Yeah, I could go for some Planetside!"

steam ensures a high number of ppl playing

but the competition is hard, as you can see.. dota 2: 72k ppl playing

Haha It does get stuck in your head, I swear, I'll never hear the factions slogans in any other voices than the ones that song portrayed!

Just because it's on Steam doesn't necessarily or even probably mean it will use Valve's Anti-Cheat.

It's very very unlikely it would use VAC. Most games on Steam dont.
