Trench Warfare sounds awesome. So i like that, and burst fire weapons sound awesome as well. Will be pretty cool to see a whole trench full of soldiers do a suicide charge against another trench. But will have to see the map to see whether those kinds of things are possible.

Esamir seems, so far, much more to my liking. More ground based (easier for vehicles for follow big roads to everywhere), and particularly, it seems more infantry based around the bases, which sounds awesome.
Another change I dig, is that many of the very small capture points are no longer a hex for themselves, but just part of the big base hex, and just gives a spawnpoint there instead. Awesome news. Very much looking forward to this! |

Which sounds really overpowered until you add that the cloak only lasts about 15 seconds and can be seen without the aid of things like PS1 Darklight at short and medium ranges. That the TTK is so fast in this game that a shotgun won't make a lot of difference, that PS1 Infiltrators with real cloaks could kill players very fast with an AMP or NC shotgun pistol, and that wasn't the go-to 'class' (or rather playstyle) in PS1 for powergamers. That PS2 Infiltrators already use the semi-autos like shotguns. And lastly you don't even need a cloak to sneak behind some players... I've followed right behind enemy players for as long as a minute with no cloak on before killing them or them realizing I was there at all.

Looks like a great update. Esamir looks amazing (aside from it being another square), trenches, timers on generators. I noticed the old PlanetSide music they added in as well... chills. Two things though:
-I hope they meant they are working on making the Warpgate the way to get to other continents. -Why so much unused space? There are tons of spots on the outside edges of Esamir where more hexes could be placed. We could have beach battles.
