The maps, are so small... :| And apparently (TB mentioned this in the video) the regional cities don't share services in a timely manner. And also, there's no support for a solo player to play all the cities of a region by himself at the same time. The cities in the region not being played at that time are frozen in time.

What's up with the map size? By the time you get to the point of adding say an airport, there would be no where to put it. What are they going to do, try to sell everyone a large map add-on as dlc?

I've also learned that saved games don't transfer between servers. Christ what a mess.

Couldn't get in at all tonight.. gotta love it. EA is getting railed hard core in the press, well deserved of course.

Wonder if the industry is actually going to learn from Diablo 3 and SimCity. Want to release a video game where your playerbase naturally expects a singleplayer experience? Then don't force them to cope with your ability to provide adequate server support in order to experience it. Otherwise be prepared to offer a lot of refunds.

I don't know how much say Maxis had in all this but it looks like ye good ol' publisher interference and Maxis trying to make the best of it. I don't buy that the only reason why city areas are so small is because of hardware limitation, if that was the case then they should have made different areas with varying sizes available to players.

I as well could not login. Kept saying server unavailable. This is to be expected for MMOs cause they all require online servers being hosted online. But for a game that has always been solo player focused?

Is simcity 4 worth the 20 bucks? I've been looking around for it cheaper, but 20 seems to be the price. I was thinking about just getting it from steam. The old reviews for it are pretty great, from what I see.

I actually had it added to my cart on amazon from this past weekend, got an email from them letting me know there was problems being able to play the game, lol

Just a quick note, the launch has been a horrible experience. But the game itself is very well made and addictive.

Once they get the issues fixed it will be tons of fun to play.

Just too bad the producer is an arrogant jack wagon, didn't even offer an apology in his public address. Feel bad for the folks who worked hard on this game only to have this happen.
