For me its crashing. I rarely had issues until the last few weeks. Now I get strange disconnects, desyncs where people start floating in the air followed by a G30 (or whatever the code is) error in a browser window every now and then.
The game runs smooth to me otherwise, but something in the last update really screwed up something.

having low end systhem Suporting a minimum of flora and grass to not gave out , some Visibility exploits , to the high end systhem who turn out their graphics all the way to low .. so we are almost all on the same footstep on any graphics setting ...

Don´t forget, if you are going DX-11 only, we should go 64 bits only!
I never understood why the game is 32 bits if it needs 4 GB of ram to run it! Yeah, I know the game is large memory address aware, that we don´t need a 64 bits SO and it is a Microsoft marketing strategy to sell twice the same product... I really think if the PS-4 version will be openGL 4.3 (because Microsoft Owns DirectX), I think we should migrate to openGL 4.3 to the PC too, it won´t be easy to implement, but it is possible and the game will also run on MAC and Linux! I just think a migration to openGL will make all performace bugs come back and worst this time, but it can be done, they are doing it to the PS-4, they can do it too for the PC. I just think they should do again the engine, because it uses physics, and on a PlayStation with an AMD processor and videocard, using physics with openGL is not a good combination. The truth is, they should have think more on the future before doing a engine with third party material to decrease cost, maybe the game wouldn´t be possible if they didn´t do that, it is hard to tell, but now we must face the consequences.

i don't exactly know how many people play PlanetSide 2 on 32 bit operating systems (is there a stat chart somewhere?) , but switching to 64bit only would be a big fuck you, wouldn't it? or can you switch of DX11 features and have 32 bit still play it? idk much when it comes to DX, heh. |

Well consider that there is no OS that is supported by Windows that can't run 64-bit..... Only those that still run windows XP for some reason even though its no longer supported by Windows would have a problem.

Aside from the countless easy-to-fix retardations like hardly visible crosshairs (hello lancer), a joke of a direction arrow on the minimap (seriously, wtf guys) i also have a suggestion for a technical "optimization":
The game still creates freakin' 0 Byte files in the "my pictures" folder. It does this SINCE BETA (=over a year now). I made multiple threads on this over the course of the last year on both the official forums and here and didn't even get an official reply. If you are now focusing on fixing the tech part, fix that bullshit too please. I'm sick of having to empty out the folder every week because the guys at SOE don't know a world exists with non-standard english letters (i recall that being the reason). I would like to have player rendering optimized so that they can increase the render range of infantry. This would help curb the tanker/pilot can't see what hit them & therefore can't fight back scenarios. WTF hit me moments as well.
As for dx11 and 64bit clients, having them forced on you would be a huge slap in the face if you happen to be running windows XP or have a 32bit machine. They should give the option of using dx11 if you can, and offer a 64 bit client but keep the 32bit version as well. |

It would be great if PS2 could run with much less bandwidth. I pretty much can't play if any one of my several roomates are awake and using the internet (which is close to 24x7.) Ive been getting a G99 error at 98% loading for several weeks and I think it's because I don't have all the bandwidth that PS2 wants to use. |
