I'm in the beta, and while the flight model isn't the best, it certainly leaves room for a skilled pilot to rock. I shoot down noobs all the time in my reaver, even when they're in a more maneuverable mosy. Plus, the reaver is very powerful, and can rock stuff from up high. It's not all I do, but it certainly is appealing in many ways. If they beef it up, that's fine, but right now the flight model is more than adequate.

Ummmm PS isn't THAT bad. I don't think it could ever get that bad. There's more people on in one base than jumpgate has on during peak.

Personally I always found that the Shrike responded TOO well...

just the slightest nudge and ur half way across the map (and my mouse sensitivity was default)

Im gonna end this one here.

The flight model is fun and acurate and easy to use, just remember to invert your mouse ,for some reason as soon as you get in a flying vehicle for the first time you push up to go down and push down to go up, and trust me that so doesnt work, os if these people complaining about it havent tried that yet do it, it makes a big difference.

I own in a reaver, and i got the kill count to prove it, but seriously if you dont like it dont fly theres lost of other stuff to do

I like the flight model myself. What everyone forgets is this is a game its not a sim, its not supposed to be like real life piloting.

However there have been many threads on the flight model. And its better now than it was in my first week or so of testing. And it will probably get better by final release.

Riiight. To me, inverted mouse (Down = up, up = down) is incredibly natural and I always end up looking at the ceiling or floor on regular mouse.
Anyways, inverted mouse on the ground is 'plane controls' - Push the yoke (mouse) forward to dive (look down), pull it towards you to pull up (look up). It just seems a lot more natural, and I'm glad they put it in all FPSs nowadays.

It's the same as T2, cause it's the same guy. It won't change most likely, so don't get your hopes up. BF1942 had a great flight model, where anyone could get the hang of a plane in at least 3 tries - but a pro could always improve. The PS model isn't any easier to learn, but really limits the options you have. You don't really have 3 axis. I'm tellin you, if you've ever driven a motorboat....

You could atleast do loops in the T2 flight model. Like somebody above me said, it will be hard to shake enemys with that flight model.

I actually like the T2 flight modle, I think the shrike will preform similer to the reaver, and for the person who said the shire was to twitchy, I think it wasent responsive enough, I always did loops, barrelrolls, U-turn barrel rolls, Flip to barrelroll and all the goods.

I'd like to know how you could do barrel rolls in a shrike dude. I never in my year or so of tribes2 playing saw anybody do a barrel roll in a shrike or any other T2 vehicle for that matter.

I also liked the T2 flight model for the most part. But the PS one seems even more limited. Which is bad.

IM sorry but the flight model although similar to T2 IS not the same , it is way easier to use and much more enjoyable , the vehicles dont drift nearly as much. to say its the exact same is to say that a mustang is exactly the same as a ferrari becyuase they both come in red and go fast.

They are quite different.
