A warning means there's a tornado in your county. A watch means the conditions are right and/or there's a tornado headed for your county.

Actually a tornado warning doesn't necessarily mean a tornado is down. Or that one even exists really. In fact, last week we had a tornado warning and there wasn't even a wall cloud. Only what the spotters called a "Shelf Cloud."

We get tornado warnings in my state at least once a week.. But only real tornadoes every month or so..
