In which case I'm not sure which inference you're upset with. Unless you'd prefer we all stick our heads in the sand over this and pretend it's not happening? Or maybe we should wait until SOE and Pro7's jointly release the details of their agreement before we presume to discuss the matter, which I believe will be done, via press release on the 27th of Never. |

Regardless of how you feel about him, he has a fan-base he can mobilize. This is good news. |

I'd love to think that this issue might get sorted, but the more I read that FAQ the more pessimisstic I get.
If EU players are allowed on US servers (and presumably use SOE's cash shop rather than ProSieben's), what reason is there for ProSieben to support the game? The initial payerbase willl surely be heavily made up of PS1 vets, who will almost certainly play on the US servers if allowed. Any new players in the EU will see the higher Pops on the US servers and potentially gravitate that way, leaving ProSieben in a position where any new players that do decide to try the game will probably not be using their servers or cash shop. Why would ProSieben let that scenario even possibly play out? I want PS2 to succeed more than any other game I've ever followed before release, but this agreement just seems like a massive roadblock to the games success. |

FACTCHECK! FACT!July 9, 2010. THis is the date of the first comment on this linked post. Means this arcticle got written before or on this date, means all actions within this article are from before said date. FACT! Alaplaya was bought by Pro7Sat1 A FULL YeAR LATER! At the time of the linked post, Pro7 had nothing to do with Alaplaya, NOTHING AT ALL! FACT! Alaplaya is part of Pro7Sat1 Games, BUT NOT THE MAIN PEOPLE BEHIND IT! It doesnt have to be that alaplaya hosts planetside 2. FACT! Since Pro7 bought alaplaya, their crap went down a lot. They literally stopped screwing up. Their support got better as well. |

Why would SOE exercise an exit clause? They're entirely aware this would be unpopular and I can guarantee they were still popping corks when this was finalised. The feedback they're requesting now is absurd. They're simply paying you lip service.

Even then, whilst I want to play on US I'd still be playing on EU, why? Because I have groups of friends that are international but there are also groups that are only composed of EU players. I don't want to, nor should I have to, only be able to play with one to the exclusion of the other. If anything such players would be more likely to generate more income due to spending on both systems. To go a step further, both sides would be getting that benefit but at half the use the player would otherwise make upon their network. Unless I'm missing something I don't understand how it presents a block in any way. |

They are just comments.
Not that the article is still reputable, but still. Comments.

Im really not making it up, but after that comment on the S4 article, it seems like S4 is like a fifth weel on the wagon for Alaplaya. The entire situation seems to come from bad adjuments to the cash shop. Can only hope that they dont do the same with the SOE games... |
