And the TR government isn't interested in having free roam over Auraxis' resources? The difference being that instead of industry giants who probably pay their workers, you have the corrupt government using people who have a choice between working for pittance/food (if anything), or being killed/imprisoned.

VS are the best lore-wise. I mean, their goal is preservation, while TR only pretend to have those goals. NC are worse than everybody, because they are more of a monkey with a grenade... They only know they need to fight and don't look further than that. Even TR have global objectives - expansion is their goal. But NC is not even anarchists, they're armed mob, that follows what the most handsome says. They are too fixated on the fact that they need to "retake their freedom", which was, though, never taken away from them. But once they reclaim their "freedom" - what's it gonna be? I can tell straight away - their freedom will turn into "kill or be killed", a principle that led to the creation of that very oppressing force they are fighting against.

Evolution, whatever color it wears, gives people the true meaning of freedom. Because if evolution gets tainted by individualism and personal desires, it'll fall. Nuclear missiles don't explode because of evolution. They explode because of the wrong vision of "freedom".

overall, i dislike the TR the most. most of their vehicles need 3-4 people to be as effective as NC/VS vehicles and that gimps them when population is low.

No method is inappropriate. If you can't convert them, cleanse them. Not for fear, but for their own sake. Living in a world they don't want to live in is a great torment.

The point is that the NC want what's good for the few (industry giants) and the TR want what's good for all. Also, do any of you understand what "utopia" means? The TR upheld utopia for 1000 years. Utopia = tyrannical violent 1984 government? Wtf?

Again, I'm pretty sure the Utopia is on Terra. The TR haven't been on Auraxis for 1000 years.

Utopia is a world where everyone agrees with the course it's heading. Considering the appearance of NC, let alone VS, it wasn't that much of Utopia afterall.

The Terran Republic had been the single political force on Earth since the Armistice and the formation of the new Government. They had set up an open and transparent Government that kept the peace for nearly two hundred years. Walsh had no problem with them, but he certainly did with the current crazies who used their name to rule over Auraxis, not as a democracy but as a harsh and cruel dictatorship. Strict curfews, which had been put into place during their travels when discipline needed to be maintained, were not rescinded after they landed on Auraxis. In fact, they were made more harsh.

“Don’t worry,” the T.R. council told the people, “we have a planet to reshape, cities to build, and we don’t know what the hell might be out there. As soon as we can, all restrictions will be lifted, but for the safety of our 60 thousand citizens, we have to keep all rules and laws in place."

But what really clawed Walsh’s ass was that the people voted with the T.R.; they voted down their own freedoms.

In a move directly planned to keep the New Conglomerate from resisting Terran Republic control, all political gatherings were banned. Groups of more than three, unless they were a family, were not permitted the right of assembly. Refusal to follow T.R. laws were punishable by imprisonment, and in some cases death. N.C. officers were rounded up and imprisoned without proof of wrongdoing or even a trial. The N.C. pleaded for the return of all personal freedoms, but the T.R. refused. They were trying to work a compromise when both sides walked from the table and war broke out.

He saw her face flush red with anger. “And the New Conglomerate are any better? They’ve worked against the colonies since day one. They refused to do their jobs unless they were paid and when there was no way they’d go back home and get their creds, they took off. The T.R. wants us to work together…”

Sandy leaned in and interrupted. “Under their rules and draconian laws. And if you disagree, you are either arrested or executed.”

From the short stories that were released. They're all I'm going off so far.
