I know two people who got in yesterday. Both have 580 GTX's and I5's.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 so shouldn´t I get in as well if that were the case¿?

I honestly don't understand all the butthurt in this thread. Come *ON*, guys! Beta testing acquaints the user base with the app, it lets you stress-test the system, and it lets you iron out all the bugs. But none of this is worth a rip if the bugger doesn't work correctly to begin with.
The longer the tech test goes, the better -- for PS2 and for us. You guys need to take that on board. |

I have a GTX 275, i7 2.8ghz processor, 4 gigs of ram, and I'm running on Vista. About the only thing that screams high end on this might be the i7 core.
One would do well to note they only asked if the kind of core (i7) and card family (200 series.) They don't know the specifics of the card you have. Apparently my specs aren't what they're very interested in. Can't tell if that means they know they work or if they won't :X Last edited by Littleman; 2012-07-18 at 04:34 PM. |

My guess:
First wave (last weekend): Only high end backbone systems get in (over 4gb ram, good CPU), only NVIDIA and already tested models. This is to verify that software can be run consistently on auxiliary clients. Second wave (ongoing), still small and also still keeping familiar systems, this is to verify that server can handle other than idle loads (its the first wave other way around). Third wave, EU server is tested with about the same systems that are already in the US servers, just to test the auxiliary server can be run consistently. From here could be couple of quick verifications with Radeon and different combinations and tech test ends. They will be reviewing the test results (servers offline), getting the new beta drivers from both MFG and only after that start of closed beta, actual testing starts then. I would expect nothing less than a month for this to happen! |

I have an i7 980x... 2 gtx 480's (yes, my system contributes to global warming) and I bought the game on launch day in 2003... but I'm curled in the corner weeping without an invite, too.
Realistically... I bet the tech test is mostly VIPs and probably a very small % of the vets/whateverkeysaremostimportant. I'll save my real tears for when the beta starts and I'm not in. |
