Oh I totally understand that, its just been covered that all the factions have top teams, it really just ends up being playstyle, from what i've seen TR fits the playstyle best overall, though I mostly watch the stuff Xfactor shows... Thats all I was getting at =)

PS2 is going to be a very different game from PS one, I play NC on PS1 but im going TR in 2 most likely due to the weapons and how they (appear) to handle.

Ive seen shundara playing bf3 with itzmurda and sgswift
I never really knew her though so cant speak to her plans for bf3

The game will be alot different
I didnt really consider ps1 a fps game - more of a fps/3rdperson hybrid
Itll be interesting to see how it plays out once its a pure 1st person shooter - with hitboxes
Im betting itll be alot more fun than the wall-humping

Oh yeah for sure, im really excited for the lack of 3rd and the hitboxes, im also excited for the weather effects, something that I feel is totally under-utilized in any current market (or future) FPS out there, and they're doing it on an MMOFPS its just totally awesome

Oh Also the variety in bases alone will make the game feel more dynamic then PS1

don't join the lying opressors or the misinformed freedom fighters. so obviously Vanu will be the only sane choise since we fight for actual human grogress.

And this belongs in the new players section.

Good luck on adjusting your going to need better team tactics then your currently used to if you want to be succesful. PS1 vets have a clear advantage so you might want to recruit some more.

I don't think they'll pick faction based on ideology tbh, so try not to make make this one of those threads again.

Fact is though, besides ideology, all three factions had great outfits, great weapons (until some of them got nerfed.. *coughLashercough*

), and great mechanics... i.e they were all fun to play. So like everybody else have said; server chioce will probably be the more important factor when picking faction.

I see ps1 'vets' having little advantage at all other than knowing what a barney is. It's a different game completely with a ps1 'skin', Thats all. The OP and several of his crew/associates hes mentioned so far have played somewhat in the past, just to correct the patronization here.

Gotta say, I'm a little impressed because I expected much more "come join our side!" - "no, join OURS!" in this thread. Which is cute, but... yeah.

Truth is, at this point, many high-profile PS1 outfits haven't yet decided which faction to join. And who knows where the many more skilled teams from BF and various other games decide to go?

It also comes down to which server to play on. There's speculation about PS2 attracting hundreds of thousands of players upon launch, which will likely require dozens of servers. All entirely speculation at this point, but you get my drift. Personally, I'm just kinda hopefully expecting the law of large numbers to create some parity of skill between the factions on all servers, tho there will certainly be differences.

Main point, it is indeed too early to tell, and you're probably best off deciding for a faction based on playstyle preference. Which in turn is best decided after you've had a chance to try them out in beta. It's what we're going to do.

Murda, Shundara, Vegeta and Darkmoon are apparently bringing their group to PS2. It'll be nice to see old friends and allies.
