Well on the day 3 E3 cast they were talking about how they may or may not keep the ammo pack on the LA. Both sides have its merits so we were discussing it in the chat. Some of us though having it on the engy had its perks and we were glad to see the MAST in the ACE. How it works exactly we don't know.

Guess this is one of the things that beta testing can resolve.

Hmm at first glance my thoughts are:

Command Rank looks too easy to max out. They should probably be making it more difficult to be a CR5 this time around so we have less captains trying to steer the same boat.

Vehicles actually have a seat swap boost? Kind of lame IMO I already hate that seat switching is even possible since its going to make the Tank into a mini BFR.

Still don't like how utility stuff like smoke grenades an ammo kits are for Light Assualt but not Heavy. Shame you got to wear paper armor to get access to stuff Infantry in general need. Would like AV weapons on Light Assault as well. This is why I mourn the loss of the inventory system. Sucks that the class restrictions are so heavy.

Remember that each box in the Cert tree will cost more and more as you progress, so the costs begin to multiply rather quickly for CR5. Just as a speculation I'd say it will be more like:

5 - 10
10 - 20 -30 -40
30 - 60 - 90
50 - 100 - 150 - 200
100 for CR5

That comes to 895 cert points for the full Command Rank 5 cert. At 10~ minutes of active gameplay per cert, that's about 150 hours of grinding Command certs.

Kind of bummed that all the (non-MAX) units get C4, except for the infiltrator. I thought it had been said that they would have C4/Boomers?

On the aircraft certifications, you might want to look into the word usage. Don't want to call you guys out, but I would like to save some embarrassment.

Ver´ti`cle
n. 1. An axis; a hinge; a turning point.

vertical
adj vertical [ˈvəːtikəl]
standing straight up at right angles to the earth's surface, or to a horizontal plane or line; upright The hillside looked almost vertical.
adv vertically

Added a few more images to the OP. These are from my footage, and they have some tooltips.

Magnificent work Neuro! I'm curious what they're up to with the seat switching and quick exit skills. Experiments in balancing those design shortcuts as game mechanics would be interesting.

thanks neuro!

very nice shots with lots of new bits of info!

hey the medic will get biological warfare? the virus cert sounds like the team fortress classic medic!

but the best bit of info i found was the cert for the spitfire turret!

please matt, confirm that this is the return of the real spitfire turret and not just something very different that got the old name!

and i know what the crew efficiency cert is for!
remember, this were only vanu certs. certing in crew efficiency enables the vanu to take new conglomerate gunners with them. this multiplies the crews efficiency by about 5000%

Remember though that as it currently stands there is no CEP/BEP, it's all just XP and cert points, so you can just grind in a scythe or lib or max or whatever and eventually get to CR5 just by grinding anything. At this point, anyways; I'm sure it will change. And it's only 149.1677 hours!!

Neuro, this is EXACTLY the kind of thing I was hoping an industrious, academic gamer would do! Thank you SO much; I've been dying for a glimpse of the explosives available to the Engineer (and OBVIOUSLY there will be more available even at beta, let alone launch!). I'm pleased to see that the Engineer, even at this basic level of development, gets the entire foundation of explosives (anti-personnel, anti-armor, remote-detonated). I'm not at all interested in grenades; bring on the BOMBS, baby! It can only get cooler from here!

Thanks again!

My guess is crew efficiency is just a fancy title for how fast things like turrets and libs main cannon reloads.
