I agree that the older one looks better but the main thing I think they need to change is the handle on the top, it just looks dinky and cheap, not strong enough looking for that big of a gun and kind of clunky looking, it sticks up to high like you could break it off. They need to mod the top grip into a T so it could be held with your hand horizontal from the gun or parallel like the old one.
Parallel top grip-looks low profile, strong and versatile horizontal top grip-sticks up to high and looks dinky and cheep Combine the too shape it like a strong T with lower profile like the ps1 and make sure the rear handle and the front handle meet like the ps1 it looks way cleaner. I hope the weapons don't outmass (at least seemingly) the players in PS2 like they did in PS1. Nice to spot an MCG from 400 yards because it was so huge, but I think with ForgeLight we can dispense with the cartoonishly oversized weapons this time.

Well, the Gauss is a prime example of an oversized weapon. Not so much really in how long it is, but it's way too thick and obviously too heavy to be convenient. Same especially goes for the Tempest, the SMG.
