come on Fire, i realise that you can not go around nuking countries (though why have nukes if your never gonna use em? i know i know, deterents), however its just how some of us feel, very angry.

This is one of the reasons I'd like to join the Army. Of course I have many other reasons as well but this really has to be stopped. We need either tighter security on our people or better yet, pull em out.

I'm not talking about the nukes, that's way too low in the shallow end of the common sense wading pool. I'm talking about the Abu Ghraib wanna-be who thinks we should engage in Swamp Fox routines against our enemies. Lowering your standards is not the answer. It only makes you look like a horrible piece of shit in the eyes of the foreign community.

And while some overly-zealous patriots are all for isolationism and "Fuck the rest of the world!" attitudes, it's rooted in ignorance, stupidity, lack of education beyond your GED or 12th grade ticket, and it shows a complete lack of exposure to the rest of the world. Contrary to popular belief, the USA is a country on Planet Earth and thus Earth does not revolve around America. And that cavalier cowboy attitude about butchering Muslims and burying them in leather sacks with pig crud all over them is a sickening, disgusting display of the very arrogance that's earned us the blackened reputation that we have now.

you know firefly, your right, very much so, but its just some people get angry, they say those things, but i dont think any of us would do em, i hope not at least, ive said, or thought some of those same things, but i honestly hope i wouldnt do it. just pisses me off.

The problem with society in general, as well as flagrant stupidity infested in idiots, is that "PC" becomes a crutch for those who lack simple common sense and intelligence. And those were different, more brutal times. We don't run around throwing Christians in lion's dens, and we don't execute and murder **** because they're not like us. There's this thing called Law of Warfare, Rules of Engagement, and proper conduct on the battlefield. Such things are what keeps us somewhat on the right side, and allows the civilized world to feel hatred for people who do engage in this sort of activity.
