I personally don't like Muse (anymore). I used to love them, and the first album I bought of theirs was Absolution (Yes, I was slow to catch on) and then I bought Origin of Symmetry and Showbiz. My god, they've really let themselves go with the latest album. Thier old stuff is actually one hudred billion times better than the new stuff. The slow bits in he older albums were well placed, thoughtful, and calming, whereas in Absolution it's just irritating as it seems so out of place. Bleh. Oh, and Radiohead > * No Surprises is the most ironically calming song ever (find the lyrics, you'll know what I mean). Creep is just a masterpiece, but it's a shame Thom & co refuse to play it ever again. And just for giggles, find Fitter Happier. Kasabian are a good band that are making it big in the UK at the mo, (I'm promoting them because I live just round the corner form them). The Rakes - nice new band for everyone to listen to. Snow Patrol - Band that have finally hit the big time with their 4th (?) album. Dogs Die In Hot Cars - fresh new band, got some good stuff coming out. Okay so I strayed from Rock. Sue me. (Please don't)

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

In addition to my batshit insane train of thought, which people are confused about all the time, it was a train-of-thought typographical error. I was typing what I thought, and I made a mistake. "Hm, Incubus = muse. Wait, Im on crack. Thats radiohead." Angst n. A feeling of anxiety or apprehension often accompanied by depression. The first part is what I was referring to. "Time is Running Out" is FULL of it. Listen to the lyrics. "I wanted freedom, now Im restricted, I tried to give you up, but Im addicted" sounds pretty close to the definition by my standards. Thoughts of a Dying Athiest? Please. The Title ALONE gives more angst-per-second than your average LP song. The lyrics are a little better, but still angsty. Granted, it pales in terms of comparison to the likes of more well-known/liked American bands, whose only gimmick is angst in pure, undiluted form, but thats not to say that Muse is completely angst-free.
