What does cost matter if an ice age happened? A whole LOT of people would die. And life > money. So I would imagin that engineers and such would be able to figure a way to survive. For instance if the ice age killed alot of the foliage there would be near constant wind, and strong wind at that. Now all we have to do is build LOTS of windmills. As time goes on society will get through it.
And who says humanicide (human genocide, made up word  ) is a bad thing? Rainbow six anyone? j/king
