Agree. Can anyone think of a reason not to?

We revert to the old system. I think a majority would agree that it worked back then and it will work now.

Nothing needs to be changed with the moderation. In fact I dont even see an issue with what happened today, a bunch of people saw someone banned for good reason (Who was ALREADY banned for months) and decided to follow him. That was there choice and nobody elses. The moderation team has done a great job at what they are doing and I am proud of every one of them.

The folks who left left in anger and are misguided, thats their problem and nobody elses. I admit I am somewhat sad to see them go.. but it is their choice.

This whole event had NOTHING to do with our moderation and a whole lot more to do with me, I banned him from IRC so blame me.

We're allowed to make mistakes.

[Edit: Okay. Prehaps the moderation atmosphere isn't the cause of today's events, but I think most have made it abundantly clear that they would feel a little better with the return to the semi-relaxed style.

What's the harm in that? Should we change it now or wait until people start leaving BECAUSE of the current setup to give the "chill-atmosphere" a try again? ]

All I have to say is that even if this community is a great one, it's going down the drain in the past months... Dhark was banned for shit Doop does 100% of the time and yet he's still here. If making no sense is a crime, alot of people should have been shot down before Dhark and yet. Anyways, not in a mood to argue but the whole censoring BOHICA plugs is downright non-sense...

And with that me and my tired self will go back to WoW.

I wouldn't say that the moderation here is any more aggressive than previously. It's simply been an increase in reminding people to be "decent" to all. To joke is one thing, to flame with intent to insult is another.

People show up, people go. It happens all the time and will continue. If you wish to leave then do so, if not, then stay but be mindful to have a common courtesy to other users. Those that wish to leave and burn their bridges behind them... remember... you can't cross back.

Quite frankly Hamma, I think you're wrong. To tell the truth, I was afraid to write that, fearing a stream of indignation and a possible banning. The moderators do need to loosen up. I think that there has been a general overreaction to this "problem". There's nothing wrong with a good old internet flame. People need to know that they can express theeir feelings without being banned. We need a freer PSU. It's that simple.

meh, maybe its just me then. Ivan's cool, but still less moderation for the win. Einnie tells me one of the reasons he left was over moderation if anyone cares.

I never said they sucked, but I think the like-it-or-leave-it attitude is a problem. We need to listen to those who left. Maybe they have a valid point to make.
