Well fine then. If they can put a theoretical moral ban on the use of the word ****** (I'm not afraid to say it... ****** ****** ****** niggerbath ****** ****** ******). Then I can put a moral ban on the use of the word ******. Because, you know, that one wasn't a hate word either until it started being applied as one... sorta like the word ******.

I get it just fine.
And out of respect, for myself and others like me, I declare that the use of homosexual epithets should be stopped. Oh, and no more calling me a dirty **** either.

I'm calm.
I'm just simply saying that I see no reason to be apologetic or respectful to the people to whom the term ****** fully applies. There is a difference between black people and *******, and ******* are just as racist as anyone that flies the confederate flag. Furthermore, they treat white people like shit... but its "OK" because we enslaved them, right? NOT RIGHT. I didn't enslave anyone, nor did my ancestors, nor did any of my friend's ancestors. (In fact, all of our ancestors got treated like crap as well when they got off the boats - but I digress) I see no reason to be apologetic or respectful to a group of people that has neither earned my respect or deserved my apology.

All that said, you have no reason to be apologetic because you haven't lived or felt that life. I'm not apologetic. But I am respectful to a "group of people" that were brought here like animals. And your idealogoy keeps it going. By the way...their not fools. Their humans. You can say all you want, but until you see it equal, I feel your eveloped in a spiral of hate that undermines what the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is about. War is no good. I'd shake your hand if you understood. Thats my feeling. |

Haha. Regardless of what razor says, Im not racist. Much truth in Inf's post there is. If you want to ban the word ******, go ahead, most of the people who use it are in fact black. They toss the word around like it means nothing, so why cant I (I dont, I use it when it applies)?
Back to the flag issue, hate on me all you want. Just cause I fly that flag doesn't mean I'm racist. If you believe that, you sir are the hypocrite . You make the assumption that Stars and Bars = racist. Just like you think that I think that black skin = not worth anything. And the Stars and Stripes are most defiantly symbolic of all the other flags in the country. We were also flying a NY flag and a Georgia flag. *gasp* They dont mean anything because they arnt the American flag. The American flag represents everything you see on it. 50 states, 50 stars. Some of those states were members of the Confederate States of America. That institution no longer exists, but it is still a valid flag. The flag still waves over many state capitols. It is part of the American flag because it represents states in the union that were part of the confederation. |

The Confederacy wasn't about slavery at all, that was just the fulcrum. The Confederacy was about the State's right to secede. The Federal government gained most of its power when it asserted itself as the final authority in all things United States, after the Civil War.
Racism was MORE rampant after the Civil War than before it. People have to blame things on someone right? Who better than the slaves the 'War was about'. Same thing as this whole Muslim thing...people are more inclined to generalize and be racist at the entirety of the Muslim world because of some events. The Civil War was not about Slavery. |

As does most the rest of the country. It is a Symbol of the confederacy and has racist undertones.
EXACTLY, in fact, like a Swastika is s symbol of Nazism and has anti-semitic undertones. Oh and I second Inf's post about me, Sobe your borderline delusional here.
