Anytime I uninstalled PS, I always kept a PS Music file. It brings back so many memories and is great to run in the background while writing, gaming, what ever.

PlanetSide music was awesome, the trailer music had that familiar music style as well.

I would really like to hear this music when entering a Prowler to go fighting NC's ( don't mind the no-music time at 2:45 till the end )

And This music for the Login screen

I think the Planetside 2 dev team can get lots of inspiration for ingame music from the guys that have been doing in-game themed music for over 40 years; the NFL.

For example:

I have the Autumn Thunder soundtrack, but I can't remember any other songs on there that have the same amount of punch this one has. I've used a couple in some old school videos for the Dragonwolves I've done in the past.

The PS music was indeed awesome. I loved all of it. In fact, I wish I had it as my ringtone so I could reminisce while people I don't want to talk to call me.

It did sound very similar to the piece Don Ferrone composed for PS. I'd be really stoked to hear that they got him again to do the music.

Good call on the NFL Films music. For me, when I want to get pumped, it's hard to top this classic from the NFL. The build up to the end always gets me ready to battle.

Another one I liked to listen to to get pumped before logging in isn't from NFL Films, but BF3 stole err I mean used it for a video recently. Alot of times, it's what I have running through my head when I'm flying my Reaver low, map of the earth style with heavy AA all around and bogeys in the air....I love this game.

So glad Don Ferrone is working on the soundtrack again! I think I turned the music off for a couple months out of the years I have played PS. It's really that good.

Audiomachine. Look them up on YouTube. Lots of great cinematic pieces there.

I'm surprised that people are saying they never listened to PS1's music. Those tracks were incredible and really made the game feel larger than life. I still have a number of them in a few of my regular playlists, actually.

I for one am psyched for PS2's official soundtrack, and I can't wait to hear what they've developed this time around.
