Man, that would have been actually worth playing if they didn't lower the player limit so much on top of having a nearly non-existent lobby system between multiplayer games let alone the absolutely shit multiplayer connectivity issues.
Sad face. Back to PS2, Alien PvE events would be cool, just way too impractical and thus a waste of time. For instance, say a minor invasion at some random hour of some random day once every month. The goal? Kill them before they wreck too much havoc on established fortifications and cause destroyed bases/towers to revert to neutral. This would mean that the more land a faction controls, higher the chance the invasion would happen within their territory. As an added bonus, each alien defeated would reward a tiny amount of resources to the outfit than the faction that killed it. It would be an interesting way for the outfits and factions to acquire resources and redistribute land. Not practical and certainly not something most people would welcome, but interesting. I would rather they kept Sanctuaries, but Smed seems pretty sure about that one. Edit: I just realized that I described something extremely similar to Rift.. ... I need to go take a shower... Sucks to be you.
Worse for me, I got the four pack on release. And despite their claims to Gazillions of randomly generated weaponry that you could pick and choose to suit your personal play style NOTHING could even come close to the Hellfire SMG's, Dual Anarchy SMG's and Volcano Sniper Rifles. God that pissed me off so much. Edit: Oh and Shotguns/Rockets were a joke. Last edited by Kran De Loy; 2011-07-14 at 04:33 AM. |

I noticed one thing Im worried about "Planetside next did start beginning development 1,5 Years ago...first we wanted to make a "more beautiful ps1" with free to play...then we decided to make a new game..."
Wich basically means, they game wont be finish anytime soon? How long does it take to develop games nowadays? |

Well that is hard to estimate because that depends on how much resources the company have dedicated to the development. But from what it sounds like on SOE they have high priority on the development of Planetside 2 and with no real info to back this up a wild guess from my side is that a release next year should not be that unrealistic. I doubt we will see the game released this year. Maybe a beta if we are lucky.
