I didnt see anyone comment on this so maybe i missed some announcement and its already know.

Certs. They was introduced something you select to train, and then it take some time till you train it. Now here its spending cert points instead of time training. Was is changed to gaining certs in time and then use them rather than time to train certain cert?

That's a stupid reason.

Just put error text in enormous bold text across the whole screen with sirens going off.

Don't ruin a good idea just because "oh noes the red error text (which doesn't have to be red) clashes with one possible UI theme!"

As usual the UI looks clean cut and easy to navigate. I love the look of what appears to cert/ unlockables for the Reaver. SOE you guys are doing a great job.

Nice. I actually like that smaller tree. I was afraid you were going to make it really large making it hard to add new vehicles without designed a bunch of random upgrades. But keeping them specific looks like a nice move. Though the creativity of "increased ammo capacity" is rather lacking. Was hoping for more unique upgrades rather than "reload speed" upgrades. I have a question though. Is this the only upgrade menu for the vehicle or is there a second screen of "ability" upgrades? Was hoping for a system of unlocking upgrades that would then be purchased with resources. Is there a separate upgrade/sidegrade tree is what I'm asking?

They've said no buying power/pay to win like a million times now. The shop will be for cosmetic stuff (camo patterns, flame decals, hood ornaments, etc)

Because god forbid theres some incentive to pay a few bucks towards a game you get to play for free.



On the subject of the tree.. it seems a bit.. simplistic? There appears to be four styles of cert, and you just level them up. Level 1 reload, level 2 reload, level 3, 4, 5. It works, no doubt, but thats not really the type of things I had in mind. I'd imagined you were unlocking extra parts, different weapons, etc. It just looks like the extent of the tree is buffing four attributes.


The UI looks very nice though, so give those guys a pat on the back.

But they said that you can buy weapons there too. Not upgrades, but sidegrades. So its not only for cosmetic.

I'm fairly sure there'll be more to it. I think it was Higby that mentioned being able to switch out the default weapons for an A2A weapon? We're probably seeing a sub-menu or something (notice it says "previous" underneath while the "back to game" button is in the top-left).

I don't trust SOE to not milk the cash shop like they have with EQ2 and plan on doing with EQ1. They have a very bad record when it comes to f2p.
