No, I mean so that when you're shooting at someone you can instantly tell if they're a medic or engineer or whatever. Easy class recognition is a pretty common design element in all sorts of games, from WoW to TF2.

I think most of the people would quit the game if that was the case, though. Raping those who are unarmed or defenseless is what PS is really all about, for most of the players.

When I'm in fix mode, I don't want to be going up against the HA cowards anyway. I want them to break the norm and actually fight someone who is armed at that moment, instead of lurking behind the bushes in the local playground looking for people with a medapp drawn so they can leap on them and score OMGKILLZ.

Medics running around with that much armor discourages tactical game play. You want the squad to protect the medics. Point being it would just become a stalemate team DM if each had nigh invincible medics reviving everyone all the time without fear of being killed. |
